Scandinavian-based Ethiopian gold explorer and miner, Akobo Minerals AB (publ), has announced a significant milestone in its operations. The company produced a total of 2,833 grams of gold in October, a testament to its growing operational capabilities.
A key highlight of the month was the pouring of the second gold bar, weighing approximately 1.5 kilograms with a grade of 15 grams per tonne. This achievement underscores the potential of the Segele mine and the company’s commitment to ramping up production.
As the company moves into November, it anticipates increased throughput and a gradual approach towards covering operational costs. Helge Rushfeldt, Head of Mining Operations, has been instrumental in guiding on-site efforts, reporting a highly focused and efficient team.
Akobo Minerals has further bolstered its team by recruiting specialists in mining operations, supply chain, and support services. This strategic move is expected to drive higher efficiencies and support the company’s production goals. Sutton Global, a renowned mining and processing services provider, is also providing valuable support.
With a clear roadmap and a dedicated team, Akobo Minerals is optimistic about its future growth and looks forward to sharing further updates on its progress.
