East Africa bloc puts ESG on the spotlight

With experts, specialists and thought leaders drawn across the region, the Annual Africa ESG or Impact Investing and Sustainable Finance Summit-East Africa Forum, will be held this week in Nairobi.

“We look forward to robust and engaging discussions,” said Imani Makau, Head of Operations and Business Development- Africa for East Africa ESG, Impact Investing and Sustainable Finance Summit 2023.|.

Makau said the East Africa forum is part of the continental series of ESG summits hosted in Southern, East and Central, West and North Africa annually over the last decade.

He further highlighted the forum has attracted participation from East Africa, Africa and beyond.

“The forums offer exclusive and premium opportunities to speak, partner, present, sponsor and exhibit with continental and global exposure,” said Makau.

Some of the speakers, panelists, and moderators confirmed for the event include Giovanna Valverde Stark, Ambassador & Permanent Representative to UNEP and UN-Habitat, Embassy of Costa Rica, Nairobi, Kenya and Somorin, Olufunso  Adegbenga, Regional Principal Officer, Climate Change and Green Growth Program, African Development Bank, Dorcas Koome: PPP Project Officer, PPP Directorate, National Treasury and Economic Planning, Kenya and Wycliffe Ondieki: Monitoring and Evaluation Expert, PPP Directorate, National Treasury and Economic Planning of Kenya.
