Tanzanian-based company Nitro Explosives with over 17 years of dealing in commercial explosives has erected an Emulsion Plant at Mavuji (Lidi Region) ready to manufacture in mid-June 2021 and supply Tanzania and neighboring countries using bulk tankers and MMU’s.
Nitro Explosives takes safety seriously and works in abidance with all relevant applicable statutory provisions pertaining to the Tanzania Explosives and safety acts, with operations out of Tanzania that will fall into statutes of that specific nation.
Nitro Explosives, which offers professional services in the form of blasting services, staff training, and technical advice has been a small arterial to the main business of explosives sales. With a large need for these services, the company has plans to grow the staff capacity required to provide these services.
The company’s current storage and distribution capacity allow it to retail 2500MT of ammonium nitrate, 560MT of fracture explosives, and 250 000 units of detonators and accessories monthly. With storage facilities that allow us to store 500MT of ammonium nitrate, 500MT of fracture explosives, and up to 1,260,000 Units of detonators and accessories.
And a fleet of Vehicles, specifically modified to transport explosives and explosives accessories as follows: 12 x 30 MT Capacity Trucks, 10 x 1MT Capacity pick-up vehicles, 6 x 7MT capacity trucks, 6 x 5MT capacity trucks, 1 x 3.5MT capacity truck.
Nitro Explosives’ main clients are small-scaled miners, quarries, road constructors, cement factories, and other infrastructure projects.
Though the company boasts doing work on mega national projects such as SGR under Turkish Contractor Yapi Merkezi Insaat, SGR Lot1 & Lot 2. Along with operations at Julius Nyerere Hydroelectric Power at Rufiji.
